Morton: I wrote book reviews for PV,....I also had a portfolio held by them for sometime, I have received my portfolio back with a letter stating from the publisher that they have suspended publication indefinately. Which is unfortunate because the magazine covered ground some others do not. -- LF website http://members.bellatlantic.net/~gblank |

I received an email from an ad-rep stating it went under and would I want to place an ad with one of the 'many other publications' he reps. Yeah. -- Nicholas O. Photovision?
Does anyone know if Photovision is still publishing? The last issue I
received was the November/December one. We started getting phone calls in November from people who had called this publication telling us they were no longer tkaing subscriptions. Their web site also says that are not taking subscriptions. We did talk to the publisher several times in December about trying to fullfill the magazines he owed to subscribers but were unable to come to terms with him. We were never able to get a count on his subscribers or to do a check on what the duplication may have been. He also wanted to be paid by us to finish out his subscriptions which we declined to do. We are increasing our coverage of traditional black and white in CameraArts. In the Feb/Mar 04 issue Steve Anchell, PV's former editor, did an article on currently available black and white printing papers. In future issues we have articles scheduled on Acros film in roll formats, dye dodging techniques, using black and white for fashion and portraiture, Ansco 130 print developer, and more. If there were topics PV did that people would like us to cover please let us know. steve simmons |
