I don't think anyone here has defended him; you don't read
very thoroughly. I'm rather attacking the overblown pettiness
of his critics, because they _often_ flame others the way
they've flamed Simmons. They're the major antagonists in this
silly debate, not Simmons. Now if his critics would just engage
their killfiles, but of course that wouldn't make them happy.
Their not happy unless their flaming _somebody_.

I personally use only two filters. One for the archiving of
posts by people who I believe know what they're talking about and
another for the deleting of any annoying posts like those of Michael
Scarpitti.

Now, which one do you think I'm going to apply to your posts ?
