What do these numbers mean and how do I convert these numbers into degrees? TIA, Victor It sounds like the "35mm equivalent focal length". If so, you can use the math of 35mm: 50mm is a "normal" lens on 35mm film. I dont know where this comes from, but---coincidentally---the FL is about the same at the film diagonal (43mm) The FOV of a "normal" lens is about 45 degrees. ************************** Mark Herring, Pasadena, Calif. The normal angle of view considers the diagonal of the format, or close to it. The FOV of a "normal" lens is about 45 degrees. ************************** Mark Herring, Pasadena, Calif.
