The D1, D1h, D1x, D2h, D100, and D70, and the Fuji S1 and Fuji S2 *also* support most (all I can think of) AF Nikor lenses. D200 will be revealed in the next 10-12 days... This is partly to drive
people insane "ThomasH" wrote in message ... TP wrote: http://nikonimaging.com/global/produ.../d2x/index.htm And one F6 exists as well! I will be darned, I considered this so far just a spook. I love Nikons idea of the 6.8mpix 8f/sec mode, because the D2X becomes so a real alternative to D2H, and it comes more acceptably close to the Canon 1D mkII. So, where is my D200, I am asking?? New or not, it's still music to my ears.....I am always afraid that Nikon will discontinue the F mount, and obsolete all my old glass.......... |

"TP" wrote in message ... http://nikonimaging.com/global/produ.../d2x/index.htm ISO800? Are they kidding?? Surely the move to CMOS was to *lower* sensor noise to allow higher ISOs? Uh, no. We would all be using CMOS sensors today if it weren't for noise problems. I'm guessing that CMOS was used to reduce power consumption and to allow faster readout. Oh well, guess everyone will have to fork out on 58mm f1.2 Nocts (116mm with 6.8mp crop :-)) Oh, and the CMOS allows reading a subset of the image with a proportional speedup. CCD makes you read (at least) full columns. Kevlar body will be useful in Eye-raq. -- -Stephen H.
