Kodak Brownie - exposure question
I would think more along the lines of 1/50th with an f11 aperture. The
manuals for these cameras usually printed that information in the back, since the average Kodak Brownie customer wasn't really exposure savvy. If you're using Efke's 127 film, you're going to need a "pull" if shooting in daylight since you'll be shooting at around EI 25, unless you use a neutral density filter. Meniscus cameras with exposure control are rare. A handful of the Brownies did have some exposure control, but I believe that most of those had three element "focusing" lens designs. dadiOH wrote: photo wrote: Wondering is anyone knows what the equivilant aperature/shutter speed is of the Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash Model. According to "Collector's Guide to Kodak Cameras", the lens is Menicus f15, shutter is rotary with flash sync. The camera was made from 1950 to 1961 and sold for $7.00. Another poster in this thread mentioned 127 film. The book doesn't spec film type, but it does say the image size is 2.25 square (same as Hasselblad!). I would suspect the film type is 620. Kodak Brownie - exposure question
You are correct, but the Hawkeye "Flashfun" model used 127 film. The Hawkeye
Flash you're mentioning is an earlier model that did use 620 film.
