Enjoy.

I am not a Sony fan, so the A7 III has never been on my radar. I would have
thought, since you moved to FF years ago you might have considered going to
MF with a GFX 50S rather than just another FF camera. ...or are you waiting
for the GFX 100S?

I moved to full frame with the Nikon D3s almost a decade ago

Heavily invested in the Nikon ecosystem, I bought my first mirrorless in 2013
and choose the Sony RX1R which was a compact all-in-one camera, but with a
full frame sensor.

I loved it so much that I couldn't help myself from looking at the Sony A7
when it was released, so I sold it and bought the A7, and then the A7R II and
now the A7 III (not needing 42MP of resolution really).

With the A7 I had to invest in a new ecosystem, which I have. I don't have any
GM lenses for the Sony, but I have a few really good ones, like the Zeiss
Batis 25mm and 85mm as well as the excellent 55/1.8 release lens.

This of course means that I am even more reluctant to look at a new system. I
have sold off one of my old Mamiya medium format cameras, and have only one
Mamiya lens left for my remaining 645 Pro TL.

The GFX 50S is also crazy expensive (albeit a lot cheaper than the Hasselblad
X1D), and having sold my Nikon D4s, I've gotten out of the game of super high
end for the moment. Also, the GFX is more of a studio camera, and I don't do
that much studio work these days. The lenses for it are reasonably priced
however. And I've always had an eye on digital MF even though they are all
still cropped. I don't understand why there isn't a "full format" digital
medium format camera yet.
