Book for digital photography

Looking for a book on the fundamentals of digital photography.
Should
include fundamentals of photography in general, except where they
don't
pertain to digital photography. For example ISO settings (apparently
they
are "equivalents" in DP), apertures, etc. Is there a recognized
"bible", or
just random books that are tradeoffs?

There will be nothing in a basic fundamentals-of-photography book for
film that would unduly confuse you. ISO is ISO... The only difference
between film and digital is that in digital you can change ISO without
changing film.

A good book is 'The Ansel Adams Guide: Basic Techniques of Photography -
Book 1' by John P. Schaefer. Everything from composition to hyperfocal
distance.

There are dozens of books on the subject. Your best bet is the local
library.
