Default Buying a decent camera

Hi,
I intend buying a digital camera in the next couple of weeks and have tried
doing some homework.I intend to spend circa 300 GBP.
Having read a review in Digital Camera Shopper I have come to the
conclusion it should be 1 of 2 possibly 3.

Fuji 710

Kodak DX7440

Panasonic DMC fx5

Is it just a question of paying your money and taking your choice of one of
these or are there better alternatives?

Thanks in anticipation

John

how are you going to use it? what for? what are your requirements? it makes it
much easier to recommend if you say so.

Is is safe to presume Lithium Ion is the power of choice?

Thee is debate on this. The Lithium ion last for many shots (see the
reviews), but AA batteries can be obtained in a pinch.

I use a Li, but have a charged spare available. The included charger
for the Canon S 60 is very small, plugs directly into the wall and does
a full re-charge in about an hour.
