In large format a 127mm and 150mm lens is equivalent to what size 35mm lens
? I am trying to figure out what size lens I need for landscape. Thanks for
all the help on the film holder question I posted a few days ago. Matt

There is not going to be an exact equivilent because the format porprotions are
different. A rough factor for going from 35mm to 4x5 is 3. So, a 150 is about a
50mm and a 127mm is about a 40mm. There is not much difference.

I use 4:1. That works for 8x10's from both formats. If you want 4x6 ratio print
use 3.33:1. Most folks seem to like a bit wider view with 4x5 than they do with
35mm film.
