I've never seen anyone make the "dots" (which I'm assuming is in
reference to RGB 'dots'?) distinction when it comes to EVF
resolution. DPReview lists my Sony A7 with a 2.4 MP EVF:

David Taylor:
Sony's own "full specifications" says "2,359,296 dots", so that's
800 K RGB triples, or field sequential. And that number is
divisible by three.

Sony even state the viewfinder resolution as 1024 x 768. Common
resolution on old laptops.

That's just weird - why would you disingenuously state the number of "dots"? I
suppose this is standard for the business, but it's still ****ing dumb.

So the Sony EVF is 1024*768 = 0.8MP, and the Leica is 1398*1048 (assuming a 4:3
ratio) = 1.5 MP

Still ****ing dumb, but I had no idea - never though about it until now
