An option. Leaves the couple with snaps taken with disposable plastic
cameras scattered around. Do you really think that's a better result
than what an interested and alert amateur can produce with a good 35mm?

2. Use medium format.

Not an option. They don't have the money to pay for that. Sometimes
people just can't afford your snobbery.

They told me they would be relying on disposable cameras on each
table. I should be able to do better than that. They just don't have
the budget to hire a professional.

I have a Canon SLR. I am not buying medium format equipment just for
this event. I doubt I would use it very much down the road.

I am just trying to help out some friends who have a limited budget.
Given the constraints on my money, equipment, and especially skill, I
want to do the best my capabilities will allow. Part of that was
looking for some knowledge here. I appreciate the information that
has been posted in response to my inquiry!
