That's odd that the flash is a heavy drain. I know it has to pump the
1.2V or 1.5V to over the KV range...but I have an old flash unit that
uses one AA that lasts a long time?

It would seem that power to the CCD would use more current than the
LCD. (Mp vs Kpixels)
