Ahhh, without usenet, the racists would have to congregate at
the mall, I guess.

The Internet in all of it's glory is perhaps the single greatest
agent for good the world has ever known, but yet at the same time
is also the greatest agent for evil ever known to man. Prior to the
Internet, it took some effort to be a tyrant or even to let people
know that you're stupid or ignorant. Now, one can flash their
stupidity, ignorance, racism, and other evils around the world at
the speed of light and nobody seems to care.

As to the racists, they will always be among us and will gather
wherever there is darkness of ideas and ignorance.
