digital is *significantly* faster, with higher resolution, wider
dynamic range, far, far more accurate colours and with a wider gamut.

those who want the 'kodachrome' look (or that of any other film) can
easily dial it in, although there's no reason to do so other than to
intentionally reduce the quality of the results.

'Digital' didn't exist in the 1980s as a consumer photographic item.

this may come to you as a surprise, but it's not the 1980s anymore.

Actually that was Paul Simon solo, no Art Garfunkel.
