hi,

i bought a "qualide" slide duplicator on ebay and hope now someone can
help me...

i just played around with it, it has a T-mount and i got a nikon
converter for my D70.

it does not take pictures of the whole slide. for some strange reason
you can only capture a small portion of the slide.

This is the result of the crop factor caused by the sensor size of your
digital camera. This device is not intended for use on digital cameras.

it does have a zoom
and that happens when i zoom out all the way. it have a fixed focus
and appreture, so there is not much you can do.

have to set the camera to manuall in every aspect. even the flash.
(did not know you can do that)

and the images are not 100% focus, but i would have to play around
with that and keep testing.

i also noticed that when you look trough the finder when you have no
slide inside, it is very dark, with a slide nearly imposible to
position it as it gets darker. but that's not the major problem, just
with the fixed appreture, you can't open it to position...
any suggestions, or someone with the same duplicator?

Suggest you ask these questions in rec.photo.equipment.35mm
Good Luck,
