Sound plausible, the press conference is at 10.00am in London tomorrow,
probably breaking earlier than that elsewhere in the world.

Live preview (howls of protest)
Only 10 megapixels (triumph of sanity)
6.5 fps (nice)
Silent shooting mode (electronic shutter with mirror/shutter open -
valuable)
Tethered USB HD possible
GPS data embeddding possible
Wireless g possible
Gigabit ethernet tethered operation possible
HTTP embedded interface option for tethered operation
Auto ISO defaults to 400 and spans 100-800 - means they must be
confident about 400 quality
14-bit conversion and a highlight extended mode
But basic ISO just 100 to 1600, 3200 is a menu accessed option
1/250th flash
Interchangeable screens including one you can really focus on
Totally new CMOS AF module with very high precision crossed unit for
f5.6 or darker lenses (ie typical superzooms at the long end)

Some really sensible features here, David.

You're right that the live preview feature will draw howls of protest,
but only until the protesters find out just how useful it is, when
they will demand the same from "their own" DSLR manufacturer. Of
course some manufacturers, notably Olympus, already offer this very
valuable feature.

The silent shooting mode, auto ISO, 1/250 sec. flash synch, choice of
focusing screens and low light AF module signal serious intent, as
these are also among the key features of the "pro level" Canon DSLRs
that will be announced soon.
