Interesting collection of info. Two additional U.S. Patents you
should add are 444,714 (1891) and 895,045 (1908). Both of these
pertain to the original "single" Protar. There are also many Protar
designs published in the Zeiss Index, but this is a fairly obscure
resource.

Of course, no treatise on the Protar would be complete without
mentioning that it, and not the Cooke triplet, is the direct
predecessor of the Tessar design. This is perhaps the most important
and certainly longest-lasting aspect of the Protar design form.
