That said, does anyone think that the 'leak' was deliberate
surepticious marketing by Canon? If this product release was really
supposed to be secret, its doubtful all the VARS/retailers would have
been given the scoop so far in advance....its a good way to leak a
secret, certainly.

Our store manager and the owner were told about 10 days ago. The only hints
we got were statements like the A510 was discontinued...
