Hi Group,

Is there anyone out there with any experience using a Nikon F80 and a Metz
45cl-4 via a sca 3402/sca3000c. that could pass on a few tips on this set
up.

So far I have been using the camera in P mode and using the flash in TTL
setting.

Some questions that are puzzling me are
1. Do I need to set the film speed on the flash when the camera reads the
film speed and if all the flash control is TTL?

2. I notice that the 3402 settings seems to override the camera when
looking for rear screen yet when set via the 3402 the camera shows slow sync
as well as rear. Is this right? It seems to be give very slow shutter
speeds.

Is there any site that might have information regarding this set up other
than the Metz or Nikon site, (been there already)

Thanks in advance to all those that take the time to reply.

David

By using P mode and TTL, the camera is deciding what shutter speed and
aperture is correct for the proper exposure of the scene. The camera
is then telling the flash to just act as fill. It works like this for
Nikon flashes as well.
