But he did not specify "photo printer".


Sure he did.

To start with both Philo, and his wife, with their work are well known
regulars in the photo groups.

Secondly, what did you think an Epson P600 is, if not a photo printer?

Thirdly, what did you think the printers he was asking about, the Canon
ip8720, and Epson P400 are, if not photo printers?

With prices ranging from $600 to $800, and using specialized inks, these are
not intended to be casual multi-purpose printers which can be had for less
than $100 these days.
