Default Cannon A60 owners - Can you confirm timelapse option for me?

Just wondering if that older camera does timelapsed. The specs say no
but at least one message here said yes, though there may be some
confusion over on camera time lapse and the direct to computer 3rd
party software capture option.

My old dc290 does it but at 1 min minimum, I am led to beleive that the
a60 does it down to 5 second intervals.

Just checking as unfortunately my new kodak v570 doesnt at all. Nice
enough camera but missing that critical option.

If your referring to "independent in-camera time lapse", sorry
but as far as I know none of the Canon Axx cameras have this feature.
Most of them support that function only when tethered to a PC/notebook
via the USB port.

On the other hand many of the Canon Sxx do have this feature
built into the camera, I think they call it an "Intervalometer".

Here is a useful site to search by camera feature(s):

The S60 & S70 have that feature but I did not check the
details of available intervals.

Hope this helps.

Respectfully, DHB
