You have to calculate 5600/1.19 = 4700

So you were USD 900 wrong then! ;-/

No - 5300 Euro is 5600 USD. The 4700 USD is if you take out the 19% VAT.
You calculated the price without VAT incorrectly.

You wrote the the price for the Sony was USD 5600 compared to 4500. It's
not VAT excluded it's, according to your own calculations USD 4700. That
means that was USD 900 off target...

Perhaps you misunderstood something then.

Sure did not. You compared the US price without VAT and the German with
and got your comparison USD 900 wrong.

Actually your calculation of the price without the VAT is incorrect. Or
can you explain how you got that 4536$ figure?
