Default Russian Optics on FP Hasselblad Bodies

What about the opposite conversion. Retro-fitting a Hassy 1600F with a P6
mount?

Lots of folks have done so, esp. for telephotos (180mm f/2.8 sonnar) and
30mm fisheye, also 45mm shift Kiev lenses etc.

see http://medfmt.8k.com/mf/hassy.html postings on conversions (near top
etc.) also mf/kievlens.html on the lens options etc.

many of us are hoping Arax etc. will wake up to this major market, even at
a substantial markup (in their terms, not Hasselblad's ;-) of creating
kiev 6x6cm lenses in hasselblad mount. They might also consider a
hasselblad mount body, esp. one that could take hassy flash synch shutter
lenses (closing a hole in the kiev capabilities there too), making it even
more attractive for budget buyers to start with their modified setups.

IIRC, there are already mamiya 645 lens series (auto), and Kiev/USA was
making Kiev lenses in hassy F mounts (non-auto) for a substantial
conversion fee (still under $1k for each lens including the lens cost ;-)
This is pricey, as many others on that URL site report conversion costs
more like $200-300, making the lenses more like $500 after conversion.

As it is now, you can use any of the plain, metering TTL and spot metering
TTL prisms on hassy, also some kiev hassy backs (including polaroid), and
so on. The lens mount is the only thing left ;-)
