There is a new type of troll attack on rec.photo.digital as well as
traditional troll behavior. A troll is posting crude forged insults,
mostly of a sexual nature. That is traditional troll behavior.
Another more clever form of troll activity is underway. A troll is
using the names of rec.photo.digital posters and is posting reasonable
on-topic newbie questions in various newsgroups, such as, in
rec.crafts.winemaking, a question about how to start making one's own
wine. However, the follow-ups are being set to rec.photo.digital,
where they are completely off-topic. The apparent objective is to
cause rec.photo.digital to be swamped with off-topic traffic that is
not meant to be off-topic.

The best approach is to ignore any off-topic responses (or to go back
to the newsgroup in which the posts were on-topic).

The best approach is for Google (all the messages I have seen come from
there) to find this poster and terminate them with extreme prejudice.
With any luck the poster will live in a state that charges up to $10,000
for each such spam post!
