Just to clarify -- this means some kind of lossless compression is being
done on the RAW files, right? Six megapixels at 24 bits each should be
18 megabytes of uncompressed data.

I have a Pentax K-1000 with a couple of lenses, so if/when I shell out
the money for a DSLR it will likely be a Pentax.
