This is like that egomaniacal a-- Elon Musk telling people if they
use their Tesla's for anything but personal driving, he'd cut off
their ability to charge.

Electrical cars are fuled by that that's i the socket of your wall.
Whatever!

Maybe a clarification is in order: Electricity are not self generated so
if the last kWh is generated with coal then it's coal that powers your
car and so on... Every time you make an energy conversion from like coal
to electricity you* have huge looses in energy efficiency. Conclusion:
electrical cars won't be safe to environment until we generate
electricity with hydrogen reactors.

That is arguable.

For instance, it is possible that fuel is better burnt and with higher
efficiency on those places than in a small car.

The combustion engin in cars are way more efficient now than just a few
decades ago. and you can use those with non fossil fuel. You can get
more power now form a 1 liter engin with lover fuel consumption than
from a 2 liter in the mid eighties an yet get more power out of it. And
I 'm talking gas not diesel...

Then there are solar plants, windmills, hydro, etc.

Those do not produce the electricity on the margin used in for
electricity new commodities like cars.
