Not really. If you use a high resolution camera with good glass, you have the
same "range" as well as a wider area and more control over depth of field.
Not yet. Even the 61MP Sony only has 15MP if you crop it to m4/3
size. And most FF cameras top out at 45-48 MP, giving you 11-12
MP if cropped.
Regarding DOF, at those extreme tele ranges the more DOF you
have, the better.
