Regarding angle of projection on CDD or CMOS sensor: Olympus
was explaining this also on their pages as they presented the
design of their 4/3 lenses. There is clearly an issue here.
CCD/CMOS cells have some depth and light will be projected
partly against their walls. This is surely corrected somehow
in the hardware (maybe even by the use of micro lenses?) or
in the firmware by correcting the exposure values of corner
pixels.


heh... thinking of this, how about the georgetteous foveon? ;-

if a single-plane ccd/cmos/lbcast/whatever sensor has issues with light ray
angles, then how about the much 'deeper' three-layer thing?
