Noise is a non-issue. Dynamic range
remains the bete noir of digital imaging.
If that were the case, why would anyone buy anything but a Fuji S3?

EF-S 45-125mm f/2.8 IS
Since a 70-200/2.8 IS + 1.4x is about the same as a 100-300/4, they
would not make a 100-300/4 soon, especially when they already have a
100-400.

ISO settings and easy to use manual controls.
