A3 Photo Printer choice.

I can only speak from my experience with Epson and Canon printers.
Epsons are indeed prone to head clogging but it is avoidable with regular

Nikon, I do mean adieu

Thirty years of using Nikons (non-pro).
Much Nikon gear sells at a premium compared to competitors and historically
the surcharge has been worth it for the quality provided.
My last two Nikon...

D(isappointing)5000

One reason that all hardware reviews should be read with the proverbial
grain of salt is that the units, camera or lenses, that are provided for
review are likely to be cherry-picked units that may...

The 'correct exposure' vs. 'post-processing' dilemma

The digital revolution is over.
If you don't understand the power that raw image capture combined with
post-camera processing in Photoshop gives to the photographer then you
deserve Kodacolor...

Wide Angle Lens Recommendation

Actually, if its just for the web, I second the stitched panorama
suggestion. Most stitching programs, including the one built into
Photoshop, should give you excellent results with any tripod....

RAW file formats and observations

Raw is raw.
However different raw viewers/converters perform different operations on the
data prior to opening so that the first view of a raw image that you get can
vary between raw...

Printing Photos

It would help to profile your monitor but if you are using an LCD panel you
will probably find prints are too dark because monitor profiling devices
cannot account for the insane brightness levels...

Photo editing software

How much do you want to learn and how far do you want to go?
If you have a D90 and are serious about what you are doing you should learn
to use and process raw images. Ultimately you need to learn...

Nikon lenses: 16-85mm v. 18-105mm

From a user standpoint I would agree with http://www.bythom.com comments
about the 200mm focal length of the 18-200 Nikon not being all that useful
on an everyday basis compared to the...

Film vs digital: My verdict is finally in.

Welcome to the 21st century, Mr. Justice.

Leica S2 at B&H

One would assume this camera is aimed at the small professional segment
using larger than 35mm form factor digital cameras for studio work and not
the Nikon/Canon crowd, although those have muscled...

How to use bracketing exposures

It sounds like you are trying to exceed the very limited dynamic range of

varied shutter...

Nikon D90 video as it relates to lens width / angle

I am curious as to why you think shooting video with the camera on its side
is going to help you with presumably static multi-image panorama shots?
Even if there were a simple way to transpose the...

Nikon 50mm 1.4 AFS on Nikon D40 - Should I upgrade lens or camera?

If you do not have a real need for the f1.4 and want autofocus the f1.8
remains the best bang for the buck lens in the Nikon catalog.
You may be able to find a good used one and save even more.

Longing 4 Long Lens

For a trek planned next summer, presuming I do not go broke before then, a
very long tele-zoom would be desirable.

of a photographic image is more important than its technical quality.
That is sheer heresy.
