This is a sealed, one-pound container of Photographer's Formulary
Pyrogallol developer from the estate of a young photographer.

As you probably know. Pyro is the oldest silver-developer, and was the
most popular developer of the 19th century until replaced by the less
toxic metol and hydroquinone. However it has enjoyed a revival
lately, and many fine-art photographers feel that it gives the best
print quality, particularly in difficult-to-print, subtle areas such
as skies. It can be used even if you scan negatives instead of
printing them with an enlarger.

Note: Pyrogallol is a toxic chemical which can be absorbed through the
skin. However it is not difficult to avoid harmful effects -- wear
gloves and do not imerse your hands in the liquid. Material Safety
