Wedding speeches
Making a speech at a wedding is tradition. This is your opportunity to
complement the couple and let them know how much you appreciate them. Speeches and toasts are normally combined at weddings. You can usually have a toast or a speech at public or business functions, but at weddings they are almost always combined. The first speech is usually given by the Brides' father or an old family friend and ends with the proposal of a toast to the health of the bride and groom. The second speech is given as a reply to the first by the groom and concluded with a proposal of a toast to the bridesmaids. The Bestman then replies on behalf of the bridesmaids, and will conclude his speech by proposing a toast to the parents of the bride and groom. http://iho.00-x.com/homespc.htm |
