Photographing at night

Hi, group!

I just subscribed to this newsgroup. Where can I find its FAQ, charter,
etc.?

Second, the primary reason I'm writing.

As you can imagine, this time of year is especially interesting,
particularly at night, when people decorate their homes for the holidays.

For some time now, I've wanted to try photographing various homes where I
live, using what slide film I have on hand (one rolld Kodachrome 200, and
three or four rolls of Fuji). I have a Nikon FM2N, tripod, and so forth, so
basic equipment is not an issue.

What I DO need is tips, advice, instruction, etc., on how to photograph
brightly-illuminated subjects at night. While I'm an advanced amateur,
heretofore all my photography has been chiefly of the available-light
variety.

Thanks!

Dieter Zakas

at late twilight when the waning twilight still gives you some detail,
expose for a stop and half under for the normal exposure, you just want a
threshold to capture extra detail.

Dieter - Look up Evandro Menezes' Available Light Photography. He gives film
speed as well as subject and it is extremely informative.I found this under
Evandro Menezes' Photography. Good Luck.
