Cheap PLASTIC used in D600 is "shedding" all over the inside!

it could be any number of things. you have no idea whether it's plastic
or not.

sigma had a problem with their shutter mechanisms shedding metal
particles in their early slrs, and those were metal.

Unlikely. It was probably a mis-applied teflon coating that is used
on shutters nowadays.

sigma said it was metal particles from the shutter, so they redesigned
it for the sd14 and later.

Or, they didn't clean the filings out of the lens before hand. But
plastic is easy to abrade so any deviation from a perfect fitting
mechanism can generate plastic dust/pieces.

or you're completely wrong.

it had nothing to do with any lens. sigma slrs have a 'dust filter'
between the lens and the mirror box. what's behind that filter did
*not* come from the lens.

oh and by the way, the lens mount and lenses are metal.
