Canon 5D Mark IV Received
Upgrading from 5D Mark III. First impressions of Mark V (1 hour of
use): Autofocus is fast and accurate (Canon 100mm macro). Shutter is quiet. Touch-screen is responsive and easy enough for average adult fingers. AWB does a fine job in mixed-source lighting. Adobe is not quite ready for the Mark IV; it's software can't read the raw files (still .cr2, but changed from previous format). It is necessary to either edit raw photos in the latest Canon Digital Photo Professional (DPP) or use DPP to batch convert to TIFF before importing into LR or opening with PS. Two quickies showing nice color in direct sunlight and excellent resolution: Common buckeye butterfly. Junonia coenia https://www.flickr.com/photos/primeval/29351637460/ and Delaware Skipper, Anatrytone logan https://www.flickr.com/photos/primeval/29351637750/. Note the microscopic setae and wing scales on Anatrytone logan. This species is difficult to photograph in situ as it has a very low tolerance for human presence. Finally, prepare to invest in more storage. .CR2 files are from 34-36MB, TIFFs converted in DPP are around 180MB. -- I agree with almost everything that you have said and almost everything that you will say in your entire life. usenet *at* davidillig dawt cawm |

Anyways, I would like you to notice that the GPS has a new mode in your device that turns it of with the main lever only and keeps it humming in the background. It's "Mode 2" I believe and described on p.226- in your manual. ;-) -- teleportation kills |
