Help Please! Urgently need Close-up filter set for Rollei 2.8 Planar

That's about the long and short of it, I am on the look out for a used
full filter set for my beautiful Rolleiflex to shoot portraits with,
would love to buy one or know of where to buy one in the UK ideally.

Thank you.

If you are refering to the TLR and trying to get closer than one meter with
the standard lens, then I believe you would be quite unhappy with the
outcome because the standard lens is not suitable for portraits when focused
up-close due to distortion. You truly need a longer lens. IMHO.

some distortion would be accepatble in return for intimacy, doesn't a
longer lens distort too but in a more "flattering" manner? I thought
the standard lens was relatively "honest". But yes it is twin lens
reflex from the 70's I think, if not the close up filter is there an
alternative?

Thanks.

There is the tele-rollei, but it's an entirely different camera.

You need a Rolleinar 1 set to get a bit closer. Most Rollei 2.8 TLR's
use Bay 3 size lens attachments.
You'll find oodles of these sets on Ebay.
80mm on 6X6 is quite short for portraits and some Rollei TLR users
shoot 35mm film in their cameras using the 35mm Rolleikin adapter for
this.
You might watch for a 1.5 Zeiss Mutar which is an auxilliary tele lens
assembly but is generally priced at about $600 used.
Wonderful camera, enjoy!

Cropping might work better. It's the distance from the person that causes
the distortion..

Crop the negative. The "intimacy" you want to obtain with a CU set
would be with a nose too big for its face.

Scratch that. After viewing your pix, you would be able to use a CU set
creatively. You should be able to buy one at one of the places listed
here, no way am I selling mine...
