Difference between amateurs and pros

the shot. An amateur will buy everything in sight, then complain that none
are perfect and fail to get the shot

I thought a pro was someone who gets paid, whether
the work is good or not. But I especially like the
saying: "A professional is someone who knows how
to fix his mistakes." :)

A amateur can be as good as a pro. Amateur simply comes from
amate. That means that s/he is doing whatever for love of doing
it...

So if you don't like what you're doing does that make you a professonal or a prostitute .

It is often said that prostitution is the world's oldest profession. I
have also heard that begging is an ancient and honorable profession. I
have seen no definitive authority stating which is older.
