Difference between amateurs and pros
|A pro will take a camera, none of which are perfect for all jobs, and get the shot. An amateur will buy everything in sight, then complain that none are perfect and fail to get the shot | I thought a pro was someone who gets paid, whether the work is good or not. But I especially like the saying: "A professional is someone who knows how to fix his mistakes." :) |

That means that s/he is doing whatever for love of doing it... Hmm! Interesting definition. If true, anyone who likes what they do for a living is an amateur. -- PeterN |

So if you don't like what you're doing does that make you a professonal or a prostitute . It is often said that prostitution is the world's oldest profession. I have also heard that begging is an ancient and honorable profession. I have seen no definitive authority stating which is older. -- PeterN |

The oldest profession may be a politician but one could argue that most are both prostitutes and beggars. |
