Nikon has announced the following 4 new lenses:

AF-S DX 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR
AF-S 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
AF-S 24-120mm f/4G ED VR
AF-S 85mm f/1.4G.
All of these new lenses should be available in September 2010. More
details on each lens below.

It's metal - not plastic.

unless it's just an unrealistic MSRP.



Would you buy one if it was 1/3 the price?

Unless we make a living in photography, do we NEED any equipment?

But, my comment was directed to Rich's constant carping about value. I
wonder exactly what photo equipment he does buy. (No I don't stay awake
wondering about that.)

I hear aircraft spotters continually saying they "need" such and such an
airframe.....

But, my comment was directed to Rich's constant carping about value. I
