It looks pretty good, minimalist.

"While exact pricing has yet to be announced, the L1 model will come
in at under €10,000 (~$11,640)."

Okay then. For genuine stainless steel. And a red dot...

They also tend to have a history, and stellar reputation. Leica is new
at this, and it seems a bit conceited.

Wasn't there a new Hasselblad (Sony?) compact a few years ago selling
for many thousands that was "reduced" to about 1K pretty quickly? This
seems to be a similar situation, potentially.

leica may be new at watches, but they definitely have a very long
history with a stellar reputation.

unfortunately for them, they don't realize that the market for
mechanical watches isn't what they might hope it to be.

apple sells more watches than the entire swiss watch industry
*combined*, and that's for a watch that has only been available for
three years, with the first version not selling particularly well.
